Critical vulnerabilities found in certain versions of Apple iOS, macOS and Safari

Two Very critical vulnerabilities have been found in several Mac related Operating Systems and Products. – ACT NOW!

Background

Two vulnerabilities (CVE-2021-30858 and CVE-2021-30860) have been found in some Apple products which could allow a bad guy to execute code, which can cause malware to be installed or other things on the vulnerable Apple device or computer.

How do I fix this?

Apple has released the following security advisories which contain information on the security updates and associated vulnerabilities:

  • iOS 14.8 and iPadOS 14.8
  • macOS Big Sur 11.6
  • macOS Catalina
  • Safari 14.1.2
  • watchOS 7.6.2

Apple has released security updates to address these vulnerabilities. Owners of affected Apple products should apply the available security updates detailed in the links above as soon as possible.
